The scientific community of the region acclaims all the undertakings of the Plant Titan-Polymer. The construction of the plant is a very serious contribution to the region development, Head of the Department of Chemistry at Pskov State University, Candidate of chemical sciences, Alexander Rumyantsev said during Pskov Newsline press briefing today, on May29.

“The importance of chemistry and the chemical industry in the life of a modern person is very great and is constantly growing. New materials are necessary to solve many problems, for example, to create road construction and aeronautical equipment,” Alexander Rumyantsev explained.

According to him, despite the fact that some residents had a feeling that the production could be dangerous, this is not the case. “I can assure people that the production will be safe, although I consider public scrutiny is necessary. Scientific, technical and economic progress depends on the development of the chemical industry. It is necessary to acclaim the chemical industry progress - it is an integral part of the modern world,” Alexander Rumyantsev said.
