Vladimir Putin has launched the "Titan-Polymer" plant in Pskov region via a video conference call

The state will support the setup of high-tech industries in Russia and make the conditions for investors, who contribute into their development, as comfortable as possible. Vladimir Putin said this, highlighting the idea that it is necessary to boost the output of domestic products: it is extremely important for consolidating the industrial independence.

It was just today that the "Titan-Polymer" plant started its operations in Pskov region. As the name makes already clear, all kinds of polymers will be produced there. One of vivid examples of successful import substitution - the enterprise will provide the country with raw materials, which until now have been imported from abroad. The president took part in the ceremony of launching the plant. The head of the State was planning to attend personally, but the weather did not allow him to come from St. Petersburg by plane. That is why the meeting was held via a video conference call.

Vladimir Putin: "The designed capacity of the plant is about 72 thousand tons of various types of polymer products per year, which are in demand in the pharmaceutical industry, in the manufacture of medicines and food packaging, and in other areas. Dear colleagues, I am sure that your plant will help to meet this demand and make its contribution to import substitution. And as far as we know, it is planned to build a complete industrial cluster in the Pskov region consisting of enterprises that will use Titan-Polymer products as raw materials. The idea is certainly attractive and a good one. I expect that the regional authorities will consider this issue. Such cooperation and the launch of production will create new workplaces, strengthen the economy and the regional social sphere, provide additional encouragement to small and medium-sized businesses engaged in related industries. I want to emphasize that the State will support the creation of such industries. They are necessary for the rapid economic development and increasing the output of our own high-quality products. Did you use state support elements or instruments in the implementation of this project?

Mikhail Sutyaginsky, the "Titan-Polymer" LLC Board of Directors` Chairman: "Of course, first of all, thank you that we received all those benefits in the special economic zone, which today according to the state support the area has. In the other hand, we have received a great stimulus from the Industrial Development Fund. It gave us an opportunity to simultaneously start both engineering works and ordering the equipment".
