Andrey Mikheev: The successful implementation of the Titan-Polymer project is a good example of effective interaction between government and business

"The successful implementation of the Titan-Polymer company project for the construction of BOPET film production in the Pskov region on the site of the Special Economic Zone "Moglino" is a good example of effective interaction between the federal and regional authorities and business. Andrey Mikheev, the chairman of the committee on economic development and investment policy of the Pskov region, stated this on March 28 in Omsk at the Interregional scientific and practical conference "Building up technological solutions as part of the realization of import substitution tasks in the chemical industry".

According to Andrey Mikheev, the project implemented by the Group of Companies "Titan" is not the first in the field of chemical industry in the Pskov region, but it is significant. The status as the anchor resident of the Special Economic Zone "Moglino" was not awarded to it by chance. First of all, it is based on the industrial scale, which implies two production stages. The first one is the production of BOPET films. The ceremonial opening of this production took place in December 2022 with the participation of the Russian President Mr. Vladimir Putin.

The Committee Chairman for economic development and investment policy of the Pskov region is sure that "Titan-Polymer" will become an attraction and development center for related productions. New production facilities will appear on the basis of the produced raw materials. "Come, we will be able to find a place for everyone," Andrey Mikheev addressed the Russian industry representatives.

In his opinion, Titan-Polymer is a good example of an integrated symbiosis of federal and regional support measures. "We tried to provide the most suitable location in terms of site location. Infrastructural preparations were made at the expense of the managing company, which was received from the federal and regional budgets," said Andrey Mikheev.

The conference was organized by the Government of the Omsk Region, "Titan" Group of Companies, All-Russian Public Organization "Business Russia"(Delovaya Rossiya) and the Russian Union of Chemists. The event was also attended by representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod and Pskov regional governments, as well as the scientific and business communities.
