BOPET film produced by Titan-Polymer has been successfully tested by a partner company

A production batch of Titan-Polymer’s BOPET film with 12µm CGPX chemical coating has been successfully tested by one of the customers of the company – a manufacturer of flexible packaging for food industry. The study was carried out in several phases.

The production batch was examined for a number of characteristics: printing, ink adhesion test, lamination with other material by adhesive method. As a result, all the tests were successful. Such multilayer laminated films are designed primarily for the production of food and technical packaging.

“Titan-Polymer is now starting wholesale shipments of testing and commercial batches of 12µm CGPX film. The study showed that high quality products had been sent to mass tests and first orders,” General Director of Titan-Polymer Kirill Neretin said.

We should note that films with chemical coating are the key and most demanded type of products – their share in the Russian and CIS BOPET film market is up to 75%. At the moment, Titan-Polymer produces five types of BOPET films: corona treated transparent films, chemically coated transparent films, transparent insulating films as well as metalized films of various thicknesses. Currently, the fifth type of the product is being tested – transparent films with a “twist” effect which are in high demand in the food industry to produce candy wrapper.
