Eco-Saturday project team plans to create an «Eco-book» of the Pskov region

Experience of the Komi Republic in creating an «Eco-book» of the region can be adopted to create the same thing in the Pskov region as part of the environmental project implementation by Titan-Polymer.   It was announced by Director for Communication of Titan-Polymer, Ltd and the author of the Eco-Saturday project Snezhana Ermolaeva, who represented the Pskov region at the first All-Russian Forum-Festival, entitled ‘The Arctic. The ice has broken”, held in the city of Usinsk of the Komi Republic.

Looking at eco-projects of other regions has become an important part of the meeting. In particular, there is interesting experience in creating a regional «Eco-book» in the Komi Republic.  This is symbiosis between a copybook, in which you can make notes, and a manual that contains useful information on separate accumulation of waste, disposal of hazardous waste and important eco-dates.
Besides, it contains play-based and logical tasks with a regional component.
There is a surprise on one of the book’s pages – seeds of flowers that can be planted in spring.

The Komi Republic’s «Eco-book» is made entirely from recyclable materials. This is a good example of how to use recyclable materials. Such experience can be used in the Pskov region and other regions. The «Eco-book»may be useful for tourism purposes as a unique guide about natural recourses and attractions of our region.
The book can be used in eco-educational projects for the young people. The Eco-Saturday project team will consider a possibility of creation the «Eco-book» in the Pskov region. Besides, we managed to personally meet the eco-activists, who opened a recycling center based on separate waste collection in Veliky Novgorod.
I think that every region should have an eco-center like this. And I believe our neighbors’ experience will help our team solve this task,” Director for Communication of Titan-Polymer, Ltd and the author of the Eco-Saturday project Snezhana Ermolaeva noted.

All-Russian Forum-Festival, entitled “The Arctic. The ice has broken” was held on August 16-18 as part of main events, the operator of which is the Roscongress Foundation, for representation of Russia in the Arctic Council in 2021 – 2023.
The forum united 200 eco-activists from 85 regions of the country, 3000 online participants, public figures and representatives of large industrial companies, who demonstrated advanced technologies for oil production and gas processing. For several days the participants studied the Arctic, discussed development of the Russian North, preservation of cultural and natural heritage, the tourist potential of the Arctic zone and much more.
