Foreign reporters witnessed the production start-up of the new film grade at the Titan-Polymer plant

Media representatives from 6 countries attended the production start-up of a new BOPET-film grade at the Pskov enterprise of "Titan" Group of Companies. The Event took place within the press-tour organized by the Government of the Pskov region with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Reporters from China, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus visited the Titan-Polymer plant. For several months the plant has been releasing test products, adjusting equipment and gradually reaching the planned production capacity. "Usually test run of new samples is carried out in a closed mode, but we decided to show reporters exactly how the new product is launched, without hiding anything," informed Kirill Neretin, Director General of Titan-Polymer plant.

During the tour, foreign media representatives got to see firsthand the technological process of film production, visited the longitudinal and transverse-oriented direction areas (TDO & MDO), and visited the operating room, where the production process is controlled from. Reporters from friendly countries treated the BOPET film with genuine interest. Thus, the correspondent of the National State TV and Radio Company (Belarus) wished to know about the possibility of using Belarusian raw materials for the Pskov production, and the representatives of China and Vietnam asked a number of questions about the resolution of import substitution various problems.

"For the last time the Company has been solving the issues on reorientation of the sales markets from the countries of Western Europe to new markets, including the CIS countries, Asia and Africa. Certainly, we are very glad for the attention of mass media and the opportunity to spread the information to potential consumers," noted Maxim Filippov, Commercial Director of Titan-Polymer Ltd.

It is also noteworthy that employees of the foreign media were invited to the second BOPET film production line launch at the end of 2023.
