German Petrushko: Titan-Polymer helps develop the region's industry
Titan-Polymer plant accelerate development of regional industry by engaging Pskov companies to the implementation of its investment project, said General Director of Titan-Polymer German Petrushko at the meeting of the regional branch of Business Russia on "Cooperation: a new opportunity for business development in the Pskov region".
"Over 100 Pskov companies are involved in the construction of the plant. First of all, it is construction and installation, rental of construction equipment, equipment of technical premises, landscaping, catering, workwear, employee training, logistics services, and so on”, added Petrushko.
Mr. Petrushko noted that the selection process for contractors was carried out with the help of Pskov's business community. Thanks to this interaction, the company was able to create a register of qualified contractors. "There is a great potential in such cooperation. We create jobs, salaries, taxes, and the opportunity to fulfill social obligations to the citizens," shared the head of the enterprise.
German Petrushko explained that the construction phase of the industrial complex will be followed by the operation phase. Maintenance of the new production complex is a whole lot of work. "The start-up of our plant means a new round of activity for many industrial enterprises of the region. We will need auxiliary materials for production, cleaning assistance, packaging for our products, logistic services, and much more," he said.
Another direction for cooperation between the key resident of the region and the local business will be creation of related productions on the basis of Titan-Polymer production. "Our products will become raw materials for related productions. For example, the production of washer fluid. There is a high demand for it by big fuel companies. Previously, the windshield washer was mostly imported to Russia from abroad. Titan-Polymer is ready to offer packaging for windshield washer fluid. It is the least expensive possibility for industrial start-up on the base of our products”, he added.
The meeting of Pskov regional branch of Business Russia was held in Pskov on Tuesday, July 12. One of the important topics was collaboration of small, medium and large business. The special guest of the meeting was Dmitry Panov, coordinator of Business Russia in the North-West Federal District, Chairman of St. Petersburg Committee on investments. Some other key participants also attended the meeting: Stanislav Osovsky, Chairman of Pskov regional branch of the All-Russian public organization Business Russia; Arkady Murylev, Business Rights Commissioner in the Pskov region; Sergey Zuyev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Pskov region; Vladimir Zubov, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Pskov region and many others.
During the meeting the participants discussed some important topics: strategic cooperation in the North-West Federal District and, in particular, support measures for Pskov entrepreneurs to encourage an interregional cooperation; engaging Pskov business to the integrated area development; creating of industrial cooperation of small, medium and large enterprises in their key area activity in the Pskov region.
