SPIEF-2022: EcoSaturday Project goes Russian-wide

On June 17 new eco-boxes of EcoSaturday project were presented to visitors of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum at the stand #WeAreTogether. Alina Rybina, Deputy General Director of Corporate Communications of Titan Group, and Snezhanna Yermolaeva, Director of Communications of Titan-Polymer Ltd., talked about this new additional feature. At this point, the start of the All-Russian partner program was announced.

"We are willing to cooperate with industrial enterprises with high social responsibility to expand our idea of eco-boxes. Now we are looking for partners for the project development: Russian manufacturers who are ready to produce new parts for eco-boxes. Beside this, we want to cooperate with landscape designers and public area developers, this will come in handy for creation of eco-spaces, said Rybina. Eight Russian companies have already taken part in the creation of eco-boxes. We are sure that our idea will unite many industrial enterprises".

The eco-box consists of an eco-friendly reusable grocery bag, small bags for fruits and vegetables, a sustainable water bottle, a thermo-mug, and a cutlery set made of natural materials. Eco-boxes are available in two designs – basic and for children. Children's design is topped up with a reusable lunchbox and a book about eco-friendly habits. All items are made from natural or recycled materials.

"This kit and all its items are designed to help you bring more sustainability to your life: shop consciously, replace disposable dishes and disposable items with reusable ones, and reduce your household waste. Protection of the environment starts with small things”, said Yermolaeva.

Project EcoSaturday consists of three stages: educational program to acquire eco-friendly habits, creation of eco-spaces, development of environmental entrepreneurship. At present, creators of EcoSaturday project have launched the second stage of the project that means creation of ecological spaces in the Pskov region. Advisers and eco-activists work on the architectural design of the eco-space, developing 3D visualization of ecological locations, and conducting public opinion polls.
