Titan-Polymer teams up with environmental library

Pskov plant Titan-Polymer will work together with Children's Environmental Library "Raduga" (means “rainbow”). This cooperation is a part of the EcoSaturday Project. Agreement on cooperation and social partnership between the library and the enterprise was recently signed in Pskov. The library will host lectures and master classes but also organize various competitions and environmental campaigns for schoolchildren. Everyone is welcome at Pskov, ul. Novosyolov, 11!

"First of all, this will enhance children's environmental behavior. This is the one of the main aims of the EcoSaturday Project. In April the library is organizing ecological festival "Clean City" and our plant will support it. The program includes an exhibition of media installations, several master-classes, introduction to books on ecology, and a volunteer neighborhood clean-up. We are sure that this campaign will not only promote a love of nature for pupils, but also spark interest in reading," said Snezhanna Ermolaeva, Director of Communications of Titan-Polymer Ltd.

"One of the priority tasks in today's society is to grow environmentally conscious persons. But it is impossible to do with the generally low cultural level. Reading helps to develop a good moral character and a strong moral compass, which is crucial for younger generation," said Head of the marketing department of the library’s information services Irina Stolova.

Children's Library № 5 was founded in 1976, originally it was located in a simple two-room apartment in the Tekstilnaya street, 4 in Pskov. Over the years, the institution chose environment and environmental issues as a priority for its work. In 2021 the library became a part of the National Project "Culture". Today it is a library of a new generation: barrier-free space, computers and multimedia equipment, including an interactive globe and speaker system, and renewed book collection. Last year a unique design project was implemented during the modernization works which integrates the name of the library (Rainbow) and the environmental abundance of the region. Nature is reflected in the wall design as well as in the shape and color of the furniture and decor.
