Mikhail Mishustin visited Titan-Polymer plant construction site

On February 18, the Prime Minister of Russia, accompanied by federal ministers, made a working visit to Pskov region. The delegation visited several facilities under construction, including Titan-Polymer plant in the Moglino Special Economic Zone.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the curator of Pskov region - Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Maksim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation. The objective of Mikhail Mishustin’s visit is to make assessment of the situation in the region in order to develop additional support measures.

On the territory of the Moglino SEZ, the Prime Minister inspected Titan-Polymer plant site under construction, which is a key resident. The Governor of Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov presented this project to Mikhail Mishutin, which was implemented under the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and state financial institutions. In the future, it will become a driver for the development of the region.

We remind, that Titan-Polymer recently celebrated its third anniversary. The Group of companies Titan has already invested about 6 billion rubles to the project and created more than 100 out of the planned 500 jobs. In the year 2021, the first stage of the plant for the production of an import-substituting product - biaxially oriented PET films will be commissioned. The future enterprise products can be used in such areas as pharmaceuticals, production of medical materials and food packaging. The second stage of the project is represented by the PET pellet production facilities of fiber and film grades.

Later, a round table discussion was held in the Moglino SEZ with the participation of the leadership of the Administration of Pskov region, Special Economic Zone residents and potential investors, where various aspects were discussed relative to the implementation of investment projects, including emerging difficulties.

Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Founder of the Group of companies Titan spoke during the round table discussion about the current status of the project and its prospects.

“Our project in Moglino is not limited by the first and second stages, but it can become the basis for the creation of an entire ecosystem of enterprises of medium and low-tonnage chemistry on the territory of Moglino in the industrial technopark format,” he said. “As a feedstock center, we are ready to develop the production of finished products through the industrial cooperation and usage of high-tech scientific developments, involving leading universities and representatives of the scientific community”.
