Pre-design works are underway regarding the second stage of Titan-Polymer plant

German Petrushko, General Director of Pskov plant Titan-Polymer said that pre-design work was underway relative to the second stage of Titan-Polymer plant. He announced this in an interview to Pskov Newsline.

According to the General Director of the plant, pre-design works include the collection of a sufficiently extensive material. In particular, the necessary calculations of the water and electricity consumption are made, all the necessary sanitary and epidemiological standards are taken into consideration.

“It's too early to say that this is a project,” emphasized German Petrushko. “We still have to conclude an agreement with a design institute. It is also necessary to inform the public, so we’ll provide for the time period for the project to pass public hearings.”

We remind you that the first stage of the Titan-Polymer project involves the plant construction for the BOPET film production. The second project stage includes the PET pellet production. The second project stage involves the production of polyethylene terephthalate granules of fiber and film grades. PET is used for the production of staple fibers, polyester threads (including medical ones), fabrics, and nonwoven materials.

During the project implementation, it is planned to invest more than 20 billion rubles, create more than 500 new jobs and more than 2.5 thousand in related industries.
