"Titan-Polymer" in details: Know-how Elevator

Continuing to introduce you to the structure of the Titan-Polymer plant. Here's a story about a unique factory elevator. The elevator is located in the so-called 42-meter high-rise building.

The 1000 kg load rating for the passenger elevator has a capacity of 12 passengers and a rated speed of 1.0 m/s. It is used to lift the personnel involved in the production process at the raw material handling stage.

This is the only type of passenger elevator in the building with the function of transporting firefighting units, which continues its operation in case of emergency (fire) and saves lives.

The peculiarity of this Know-How is the elevator's uniqueness. It works like an ordinary passenger elevator, but in the case of a "fire hazard"alarm from the automatic fire protection system, the elevator automatically goes down to the first floor and waits for the arrival of firefighters. The equipment has the necessary indicators for protection against fire and fume.

The machine room and the doors of the elevator are fireproof. A hatch is provided in the roof of the elevator car for firefighters. After triggering the alarm, the elevator goes down to the first floor and locks itself. It can only be actuated with a specific key.

The elevator was made by the Russian company JSC "Shcherbinsky elevator building plant". Two Pskov companies were involved for installation and maintenance of the lifting equipment. Installation was carried out by the employees of "PskovLiftM" Ltd., maintenance is provided by the company "PskovLift" Ltd.
